Write Your Bestseller: Write HOT Mystery, Thriller & Suspense

Word by word, mystery authors earn more than authors of most other genres, including romance.

I've been writing mysteries for many years as a ghostwriter, as well as under various pen names. Here's why. Mysteries sell. Authors build successful careers on mysteries, because readers are so loyal.

In fiction, the Mystery, Thriller & Suspense (MTS) genres are HOT, as they have been for decades. They're also relatively easy to write. This means that YOU can write mysteries, whether you're a new author, or are an experienced pro…

Here's why you should be writing MTS…

  • MTS readers love series, and will read every book in a series — the more books you write in a series, the more you will sell;

  • MTS fiction sells for years — you can look on each mystery you write as an investment in your future;

  • Word by word, mystery authors earn more than authors of most other genres, including romance.

I've been writing mysteries for many years as a ghostwriter, as well as under various pen names. Here's why. Mysteries sell. Authors build successful careers on mysteries, because readers are so loyal.

Mystery fiction: the gift that keeps on giving

Whether you're a new author, or are an experienced pro, you need to write mystery fiction. Mystery readers are intensely loyal. If your novels hit a chord with them, you have fans for life.

Although the romance genre, with all its sub-genres, is fiction's most popular category, MTS fiction has something special: loyal readers.

It's my belief that mystery authors outsell romance authors because of reader-loyalty. If you can write a mystery series readers love, they'll buy every book in your series, no matter how many books your series contains. Some mystery series contain dozens of books.

Word for word, mysteries will make more money for you than romances, because you can charge more for each book. And once you have a successful series, your books sell themselves.

Students have asked for a simple guide to writing mysteries which are selling today, so we've done the research, and our new report is ready.

If you've found that previously reports, like our popular Short Reads Report, have helped you to be more successful, you can extend your success when you write mysteries.

Introducing our new report, "Self-Publishing Mystery Fiction: Write What Sells Today"

In this report, you’ll discover what types of mystery fiction are selling today, and how to develop a mystery writing career. We’ll delve deeply into the various mystery, suspense and thriller genres, and the sub-genres of those huge categories.

We also look at developing ideas for mysteries which sell.

When you're writing a mystery, your basic idea for the crime is paramount. Bestselling mysteries are always based on a HOT idea which intrigues readers. (Consider Dan Brown's major bestseller, The Da Vinci Code for example, which focused on a religious mystery.)

In the report you'll discover easy ways to come up with ideas which intrigue readers and sell.

As well ideas for the seeds of your mystery novels and short fiction, we delve into fictional character development for mysteries, and writing in series. When you're writing in series (as we encourage you to do), your ideas and characters help you to develop bestselling series.

Our new report is all substance, without waffle. You'll find strategies you can use immediately, even if you've yet to complete your first book. Experienced authors will jump right in, ready to start a new mystery, and even a series.

Let's look at what you receive.
